Kickin Cancer - Sept 19, 2010

Written by LRB Info
Hey Gang We would like to make everyone aware of an event on Sept 19 of this year. "Team Toni" is doing a 5k walk in Brentwood, CA on that Sunday in honor of one of LRB's most loyal and wonderful fans...Toni Donart. She was diagnosed with ovarian cancer earlier this year and is undergoing surgery and chemo to KICK IT! She's doing well so far. We are sure that the stars aligned to put LRB in California and playing some of Toni's favorite venues during the week of the walk. So please check out this link and donate whatever you can to Team Toni...www.kickincancer.kinterra.org/2010/wnelson. Even if it takes a couple new sets of tennis balls on the walker, Wayne WILL finish the 5k!! (good thing we have 4 days off after the walk!!) CYA Soon. LRB and Crew

Happy 60th to Wayne Nelson

Written by LRB Info
Most of the folks at LRB birthday central are completely unaware of the colorful past of our leader in chief. Truth is Joe and JFK had nothing on our own Wayne Nelson. Let's just say that a birthday is not the only thing that Wayne and Marilyn shared back in the day. Here's a great photographic testimonial to the special bond that these two birthday kids shared. Unanswered questions: where's that right hand Wayne and what role did your fellow birthday pal, Pat Boone play in this trio... Happy birthday, Mr. Nelson!

Blazing Drummers

Written by LRB Admin
Here at LRB birthday central, we honor the philosophy that satire is neither pretty or politically correct. What better way to celebrate Mel Watts birthday and political incorrectness than to announce his brand new blockbuster movie release. We encourage members of the band to have diversity in their passion and we'll leave the comments to you. Besides sharing a birthday, Mel and one of his hollywood pals, Robert Downey Jr share a passion for the theater. They're proud to announce that their new release, Blazing Saddles Dos, the Return of Mongo will be one that you have to pay more than a quarter to see. They even went to the trouble of exhuming from the grave another one of their birthday buddies, Tony Perkins to reprise the role of Lili (combined with the role of his dead mother from Psycho). Happy Birthday to Mel Watts, always more than a pawn in the game of life!
